Painted in April 1994 in Miami Beach, at the beach of 14th street.. (going down from Espanola-Way where I had my gallery studio at 420 for 22 years....)
The word doily, in English, is paper lace cake doily. A play on words with doily, doillies and Salvador Dali, to recall this great surrealist Spanish painter (We also know the Belgian Magritte in this style!)
